Perfect way to spend winter afternoon!
Today I had the pleasure of participating in my first ever truffle hunt. Myself and 2 other guests were warmly welcomed by owner/guide of Truffle Valley, Joan Perrone. She offered the perfect combination of information and fun. We learnt so much about, not only truffles generally, but specifically about Truffle Valley. The hunt itself was a totally thrill. Rita, truffle Labrador, stole the show by actually finding a truffle! And what a truffle it was, well over 200 grams. I can’t recommend highly enough truffle hunt at Truffle Valley. I will be back!

Lovely hosts, beautiful location, cute dogs (finding some truffles was the cherry on top). We had a great time with Joan and Dom, learning about truffles and the farm, walking the orchard and tasting truffles. They also had some gumboots and umbrellas to borrow which were appreciated.
